Put me in coach

Didn't want to forget this. Friday night I covered a book signing by Phil Jackson. It was interesting to meet him, but I don't know if I'd stand in line for eight hours for the opportunity.

"Hey, it's been a while. Not much, how 'bout you ..." Those words were from a song that I hate yet I remember the words. It's like your comment at the beginning, although childhood might have tough and we all wish we were older, it's the innocence that we miss. We never realized that as we grew older that there was a boogeyman (sic) and he would take the lives of innocent children. As we catch a glimse into the eyes our parents we see the wagon they pulled for fun and the mirror reflects our joy as we rode through a car wash for the first time. As we look in the children's eyes today we all share the same vision: fear.

That is not fair! Did you get me an autograph?? This is the only BBall coach I ever followed, well aside from Larry Byrd, back when the Bulls were in charge. :)

I passed on the autograph. He was nice to the news people, but he didn't want to do any interviews. I had fun with the fans in line. We did a short story and called it a night.
