If it puts me down for the count, well, at least we'll all know I went out fighting the good fight.
Life has been very hectic this year and even more lately with my volunteer early (3am) shift.
I'm mostly recovered from the last few weeks of odd hours and very little sleep. Still, I'm fuzzy right now. There are big gaps in my memory from the past few weeks.
I do remember grabbing a burger at the "Hole in the Wall Burger Joint" a couple times recently. Good burger. The pretzel bun and sweet potato fries are my recommendations.
My day is starting and I'm heading for work. Let's hope something cool happens and I get to shoot it. Heck, I hear some people actually like hearing about my life in news.
(Bear claws. Grrrrrrr!)

I'm working the early morning shift as a favor and also to be just a little less like normal as I hurtle towards my 50th birthday.
Good for me that my luck is still holding. The rain passed through and was completely absent from my early morning live shots.
Don't ask me why I wanted to see the sunrise from behind a camera on the day after a very rainy day. I couldn't tell you. Lately, I'm too tired from the strange hours to contemplate much.
I just like having the freedom. I just like doing things that other people won't (or can't). Even if my choices seem strange, it's good to be alive.

I was feeling pretty good about traffic being it being Friday and payday and all.
Then I ran into this on my way to work.
I hope the traffic accident causing the backup isn't a bad one (not that there's a good one to be had).
I'm on the 105 to 110 North overpass at a complete stop (and it's not even a news event).
It's a good thing I'm not driving, you know?

Working the 3am shift while the regular guy is doing the vacation thing.
Not doing too bad for a Monday morning. Live from inside the station is keeping me from suffering outside in nature.
Let's hope this sets the pace for the rest of the week.
Oh, and a happy Monday to you all.

No, really, he did. This is a home (available for rental) that Elvis and Priscilla shared.
We're doing a story on it.
First up, I'm heading for the kitchen and checking out the fridge.
My apologies for the typos (now corrected). My cell phone's spell check really does have a mind of its' own.
